I’ve been a Councillor in Noel Park since 2014. As a lifelong resident of Haringey this is a huge privilege.
My parents are Turkish Cypriot immigrants, who have lived in Wood Green since the late 1960s. I attended local schools – Earlham Primary and Woodside High. It has been a pleasure working with and on behalf of residents. We have achieved a lot, and many challenges remain, including ensuring that the resident voice is foremost in the regeneration plans for Wood Green. Any changes must be of benefit to those who are already here.
