Puzzled about Global Warming in the middle of the coldest snap for ages ? Want to know what we can do to reduce our use of plastic?
Contact the H&WG CLP Climate Change & Environment Group. We are a group recognised by the Executive Committee, and meet every 6-8 weeks to discuss action on local, London-wide and national questions. We have three public meetings planned for the next few months, on Transport in an Age of Climate Change, Councils & Energy, and Brexit & the Environment.
We also publish a newsletter four times a year, which can be found in the news section below.
For membership and general queries contact the Secretary, Norman Beddington on email@example.com
The Climate Change & Environment Group mailing list includes Hornsey & Wood Green party members from most wards interested in climate change and local and national environmental issues. We were founded in 2015 at the suggestion of Catherine West MP. We have held public meetings on air quality, Brexit and the environment and the replacement of the Edmonton incinerator, and keep a watching brief on local issues such as recycling and infrastructure for electric cars. We were instrumental in getting a party Environmental Officer and ward Environmental Reps appointed in early 2018. We are getting involved in the climate change and energy sections of the local and national manifestos with a public discussion in March 2018. We meet approximately six-weekly and all are welcome, especially young people.
