We are a branch of the national SEA that is the only education group affiliated to the Labour Party. We cover all of Haringey and north London and are made up of people with a wide range of education interests. This includes parents/carers, teachers/lecturers, governors, elected members, trade unionists, campaigners and others. We meet regularly and always welcome new members.

Our aim is to have an open respectful dialogue about key educational issues with the local councils. We have a seat on the National Executive of SEA and contribute to policy development there. SEA members from our branch have spoken regularly at Labour Conference and other national forums.
