Will you walk a mile for the Mayor of Haringey’s charities?

Haringey Mayor Cllr Kaushika Amin’s Walk a Mile for Charity event takes place on Saturday September 27, at Bruce Castle Park, tennis pavilion, Lordship Lane N17.

Register from 1pm; £10 registration plus donations. All ages and abilities welcome!

Cllr Amin’s chosen charities are Haringey Citizens Advice Bureau, and Gt Ormond Street Children’s Hospital, in memory of the late Cllr Pat Egan.

As well as the walking there will be music and entertainment – including Ollie the Octopus – plus a raffle with great prizes including free Leisure Centre membership, free swimming, free badminton lessons, free tennis courses – and a Secret Auction for a Summer Chalet break in France.

And the first 50 people to register for the walk get a free TOTTENHAM ACTIVE t-shirt!!

Cllr Amin said: “These are two fantastic causes – Gt Ormond Street which was the chosen charity of our late council colleague Pat Egan, and Haringey CAB which carries out vital work helping people through hard times across the borough.

“I hope as many people as possible will support the event, on the day or with a donation. Whatever you can afford will be very much appreciated.”
