Following the sad death of Cllr Pat Egan in July, after a short illness, a by-election will be held in Woodside ward on October 2. Labour's candidate is Charles Wright, Haringey resident for 20 years and chair of governors at a successful local secondary school.
Charles said: “I’m committed to making a difference for our community, I’m experienced particularly in education and improving results and opportunities for our young people, and I know how to get things done.
“Labour is on the side of local people in Woodside, and I will work hard to be a worthy successor to Pat Egan after October 2.”
Campaigning for the by-election is now underway. If you can help hold this important seat for Labour please see our volunteer pages here.
