Clare Bull

Clare_Bull.jpgI have lived in Haringey for almost five years; I love this area and am keen to serve it as a local councillor. Since I moved to Bounds Green with my partner and our young son I have been struck by the how passionate residents are about making sure the area is as good as it can be and how much pride there is in our local community.

I work for a charity that represents disabled children and their families and I am committed to helping underrepresented groups get their voices heard and influence decisions that affect their lives. This is something that if elected will form a big part of my work.

It is critical that communities are represented by local residents who both understand the concerns that residents have and are able to champion its strengths. Bounds Green is an area I would be proud to represent and I look forward to meeting many more residents over the coming months.

Dear Clare,
Prior to Thursday’s Poll I would be grateful if you could let me know if, if elected, you will be urging the Council to re-open the 6 drop-in centres for the elderly described as ‘essential’ and which Haringey Council closed in 2011 / 2012? I believe there is still a good deal of money left unused in the One Borough One Future fund. I have contacted Catherine West over this issue and raised it on a number of Labour Party platforms. I have not received a single reply to date. I look forward to hearing from you.
