Haringey Labour Conference 4th February 2018

The Haringey Local Campaign Forum (LCF) has decided that in order to ensure members’ voices are heard in the manifesto process, they will be holding a one-day conference on Sunday 4th...

What are the needs and issues women would like to see tackled in the Council's 2018 local election manifesto?
Venue: Heartlands High School, Wood Green, N22 7ST
Confirmed speakers:
Sona Mahtani, The Selby Trust; Kellie Dorrington, Haringey CAB; Mary Mason, Solace Women's Aid
We are awaiting confirmation of other speakers. Our speakers will give us a perspective of those working with and for women in our borough. You will be able discuss and share your views at the event. We will use the content of the event to contribute to the wider all member conference.
We also invite you to submit your thoughts - in the form of short statements (2/3 sentences) in advance if you would like to do so. This is also a good way to contribute your views if you can't make it on the day, but you are welcome to do so even if you are coming to the event on the 13th January.
Our event will be held jointly with the Tottenham Women's Forum.
We will always work to make sure women's voices are heard in the constituency and the borough. Good policy making and strategy should look at proposals and ask how each will affect groups already facing discrimination in society. We hope to advocate for the issues that matter to you, so please make sure you come forward with your views.
