Noel Park is the place I've been proud to call home for the past seven years and I love living here. I work for a national
charity in Kings's Cross.

I ran for election in 2010 because as a local resident I wanted to improve the
area. Since being elected, I've worked hard to improve the High Road, support
local residents and stand up for our community. I led a group of residents
and businesses overseeing a £4m programme to improve Wood Green High Road,
I ran the community campaign to stop the Wood Green Banksy being sold in America
and I have helped residents across the area. I'm an active member of the local community: I support the
Hornsey Park Road community garden and I regularly volunteer at the Noel Park Market.

There are many improvements I want to see to our area, working with local residents to keep making a difference.

As the council's cabinet member for regeneration, I led efforts to regenerate
Tottenham and have been successful in securing major investment for our
borough. More recently, I took on responsibility for housing and have launched a
new council house building programme and a Noel Park Improvement Project to
work with residents to plan major investment in local homes.

Dear Alan,
Prior to Thursday’s Poll I would be grateful if you could let me know if, if elected, you will be urging the Council to re-open the 6 drop-in centres for the elderly described as ‘essential’ and which Haringey Council closed in 2011 / 2012? I believe there is still a good deal of money left unused in the One Borough One Future fund. I have contacted Catherine West over this issue and raised it on a number of Labour Party platforms. I have not received a single reply to date. I look forward to hearing from you.

Yours

Brian Bowles
Haringey Resident
